Whitla Hall
The Whitla Hall, located on the main University campus adjacent to the Lanyon Building, has a main floor area which can be adapted for live events. The Hall has an extensive fixed stage, backstage green rooms and a large foyer and is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital projection system, including a fully fitted 8m-wide projection screen.
The overall capacity is 1200 with 800 seats on the ground and 400 on the balcony.
It has a history steeped in comedy playing host to Bill Bailey, Tommy Tiernan, Joe Lycett, Foil Arms and Hog, David O’Doherty, James Acaster and Adam Buxton to name a few.
The venue is kitted out for the performance with PA and lighting. The venue is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital projection system, including a fully fitted 8m-wide projection screen.
The bar for events is situated in an adjoining building.
